Hello…and Happy Autumn!
We had such a pleasant summer with plenty of rain early in the season, comfortable summer temperatures, and then came the "dog days" of August - a time, when just one weekend out-of-town, can parch a planter or garden bed to a crisp.

Got Dirt?
We do - just in time for bulb planting, and fall garden preparations (It's easier to clean up and prepare the vegetable garden in the fall - so you are not delayed by the mud that the spring rains bring.). This fall we are offering high quality, organic garden soil, and potting mixes. It's always nice to have a bag of potting mix in the garage for transplanting house plants in winter time, when you are not out in the garden. Stop in, and pick up a bag or two.
Halloween Preview
By the way, we will
have pumpkins, gourds, and more for your Halloween decorating
needs - arriving the week of September 15th, as well. (More on
our pumpkin patch in the next newsletter.) Oh, just one more note
- we will be opening a "pumpkin patch" in Skokie, Illinois,
at Village Crossings Shopping Center, in the beginning of October,
too!
